IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) calculates the final course result by combining Assignment marks and Term-End Exam (TEE) marks in a fixed weightage of 30:70.
Final % = (Assignment % × 0.30) + (TEE % × 0.70)
Important: You must score at least 40% (35% for some Bachelor's programs) in the Term-End Exam alone to pass, regardless of your assignment score. Scoring high in assignments cannot compensate for failing TEE marks.
If you scored 22/25 in assignments (88%) and 55/100 in TEE (55%):
Final % = (88 × 0.30) + (55 × 0.70) = 26.4 + 38.5 = 64.9% — First Division.
